Job summary

Recruitment Helpline Ltd in Berkshire is seeking an experienced Fire & Security Service Engineer to service, maintain and fault-find on fire detection, alarm and security systems across commercial, industrial and residential sites. You will work across the South of England with a company vehicle and on-call allowances.

A full UK driving licence is essential; on-going manufacturer training and the ability to work independently across multiple sites are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Fire & Security Service Engineer.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Access Control Systems.
• CCTV Systems (IP & Analogue).
• Fire Alarm Systems (Addressable & Conventional).
• Intruder Alarm Systems.
• Emergency Lighting.
• Emergency call-out response and reactive maintenance.
• Planned preventative maintenance in accordance with contract schedules.
• Diagnosing system faults and carrying out repairs efficiently.
• Testing and verifying system operation following repairs.
• Completing electronic service reports and certification.
• Liaising professionally with customers and site representatives.
• Advising customers of remedial works and system improvements where required.
• Ensuring compliance with current British Standards and company procedures.
• Maintaining company tools, equipment and vehicle.
