Job summary

Arcadis is a leading global design, engineering and consultancy firm delivering sustainable solutions for building and infrastructure projects. We are seeking a Fire Safety Engineer to deliver fire engineering design across UK and international projects.

You will lead fire safety assessments, prepare risk analyses and collaborate with clients, architects and project teams while mentoring junior staff. Knowledge of UK regulations (AD B, BS 9991/BS 7974) is preferred.

Qualifications

• Recent demonstrable experience in fire safety engineering across multiple sectors.
• Ability to write reports and present to clients and internal teams.
• Experience in leading projects and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Fire engineering design experience across a range of sectors.
• Support delivery of projects within time and cost budgets.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, project management and contractors to deliver compliant fire engineering advice.
• Develop Fire Safety Strategy reports and Means of Escape analyses.
• Understand and apply UK fire regulations (e.g., AD B, BS 9999, BS 7974, BS 9991).
• Keep up to date with regulatory changes in fire safety legislation.
• Support Rail sector fire safety standards (Network Rail, LUL S1371).
• Lead fire projects and project teams and mentor junior staff.
