Job summary

Arcadis in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Fire Safety Engineer to lead fire safety design work across building and rail sectors, with emphasis on UK regulations and BD standards. You will deliver desktop reviews, develop fire safety strategies, risk assessments, and collaborate with clients, architects, and project teams to deliver compliant, cost-efficient solutions.

Qualifications

Experience in a range of sectors and technical fire safety engineering in a client-focused environment.
Ability to build rapport with clients and external/internal stakeholders.
Experience in writing reports and presentations and in multi-disciplinary settings.
Membership or progression toward professional membership with relevant bodies.

Responsibilities

Lead fire safety projects and project teams (senior level and above).
Collaborate with clients, architects, project management, contractors and authorities to provide compliant fire engineering advice.
Develop Fire Safety Strategy reports and Means of Escape analyses.
Understand UK fire safety regulations (AD B, BS 9999/BS 7974/BS 9991, BB100, HTM 05) and rail standards (LUL S1371, RSPG).
Support development of Fire Risk Assessments for building and rail sectors.
Mentor junior staff and contribute to career development.
