Job summary

Workforce Recruitment and Training in Cheltenham is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager to lead a small finance team and partner with operational leaders. You will own monthly management accounts, cash flow planning and reporting, and contribute to commercial decisions to drive profitability.

You will oversee month-end and year-end processes, support budgeting and forecasts, and help shape financial controls and systems across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Senior finance or financial management experience in a multi-site environment.
• Strong management accounting and financial control knowledge.
• Confident in cash flow, forecasting and financial reporting.

I'm looking to speak with an experienced, commercially focused Senior Finance Manager for an exciting opportunity with a well-established, multi-site hospitality business based in Cheltenham.

Reporting to the Group Finance Director, you'll oversee the day-to-day running of the finance function, manage a team of three and work closely with senior stakeholders across the business.

This is a varied role combining hands-on financial management, team leadership and commercial support, with plenty of scope to influence business performance and drive improvements.

The role:

• Take responsibility for the production of monthly management accounts and financial reporting
• Oversee month-end and year-end processes, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
• Manage cash flow, budgets, forecasts and working capital
• Lead, motivate and develop a small finance team
• Work closely with operational teams to understand financial performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability
• Provide financial insight and analysis to support business decisions, pricing strategies and future site expansion
• Review and improve finance processes, reporting systems and internal controls
• Support the Group Finance Director with financial planning and wider business objectives

About you:

• Proven experience in a senior finance or financial management role
• Ideally experienced within hospitality, retail or another multi-site environment
• Strong management accounting and financial control knowledge
• Confident managing cash flow, forecasting and financial reporting
• Previous experience managing or developing a finance team
• Commercially aware, with the ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-finance stakeholders
• Experience using NetSuite and advanced Excel
