Job summary

Oxygen Finance in Cheltenham is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to lead the local finance team and own core accounting processes. You will prepare monthly management accounts, manage cash flow, reconcile accounts, and liaise with auditors across year-end activities.

The role requires a qualified management accountant (CIMA/ACCA) with 2–3 years post-qualification experience, and strong NetSuite expertise. Collaboration with Operations and the MD/FD is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified management accountant (CIMA or ACCA preferred).
• 2–3 years post-qualified industry experience (Retail & Hospitality experience ideal).
• Extensive NetSuite accounting system experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day management and oversight of the Cheltenham finance team.
• Produce monthly management accounts information (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and KPIs).
• Oversee all accounts reconciliation processes (AP, AR, cash and bank, intercompany).
• Manage short-term cash flow, weekly re-forecasts, and ensure timely supplier payments.
• Oversee Cheltenham payroll process and payroll tax with HMRC.

Job description

SENIOR FINANCE MANAGER

KeyResponsibilities:

• Dayto day management and oversight of the Cheltenham finance team.
• Coreaccounting processes of the SOHO business, including production of monthlymanagement accounts information (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and KPIs)
• Oversightof all accounts reconciliation processes (AP, AR, cash and bank, intercompany, etc.)
• Shortterm cash flow management, continuous weekly re-forecasting, and responsibilityfor ensuring suppliers are paid on time.
• Oversightof the Cheltenham payroll process
• Deliveryof weekly store level trading reports for Soho stores, including interactionwith the Operations Team to compile and analyse the data.
• QuarterlyVAT returns
• Payrolltax correspondence with HMRC
• Year-endaccounts close process and liaising with auditors.
• WeeklyStock count accuracy & oversight - ownership of Kitchen Gross Profit
• Ownershipof all GL postings in NetSuite
• Ownershipof monthly reporting process & meetings with budget holders; finaliseperiod result with MD/FD
• Ad-hocanalysis including commercials, new store feasibility, cost-benefit studies.
• Monthlybalance sheet recs including inter-company.
• Payroll& wages creditor reconciliation
• Accruals& Prepayments journal postings
• Year-endactivities & analysis for the auditors – field testing, final accountreconciliations, disclosures for financial statements

Requirements:

• Qualifiedmanagement accountant (CIMA or ACCA preferred)
• 2-3years post qualified industry experience (Retail & Hospitality sectorexperience ideal)
• ExtensiveNetSuite accounting system experience
• Provenexperience in the production and review of management accounts information(candidates able to demonstrate having had overall responsibility to producemonthly management accounts will be favoured)
• Abilityto demonstrate strong teaming and communication skills.
