Job summary

Sention is hiring its first dedicated Applications Engineer to drive the technical customer journey from discovery through deployment and adoption. You will partner with the CPO and cross‑functional teams to deliver technical work, build repeatable processes and ensure customer value from Sention’s hardware and software platforms.

You will travel up to 40% to customer sites in the UK and internationally, leading demonstrations, deployments and ongoing technical support as you ramp up.

Qualifications

• Around 5–8 years of relevant professional experience combining hands‑on engineering with customer‑facing applications engineering.
• A degree in electrical, electronic, mechanical, mechatronic, systems or control engineering or equivalent capability.
• Demonstrable record of building, modifying, integrating or commissioning hardware and systems.
• Experience delivering customer engagements such as discovery, demonstrations, pilots, installations or post‑sale support.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery across discovery, deployment and adoption.
• Collaborate with Product, R&D and Operations to improve processes, tools and documentation.
• Plan and lead demonstrations, evaluations and pilots tailored to the customer's application.
• Install, configure, commission and verify systems at customer sites.
• Serve as the primary day‑to‑day technical contact for deployed customers and support ongoing success.
