Job summary

Envision Energy is seeking a Field Services Engineer for Battery Energy Storage Systems in the UK. You will supervise O&M for BESS assets, perform start-up, commissioning, and routine maintenance, and work closely with MEP, Development, and Construction teams to ensure reliable system operation.

The role requires extensive site visits across Great Britain, a strong background in electrical installations, and a proactive approach to safety and problem solving. A UK driving license is essential.

Qualifications

• RAMS / SHEQ / CDM knowledge for electrical installation projects.
• Experience in Electrical Contracting/Construction environments.
• Desirable knowledge of BS7671 renewables, battery storage, EV charging, PV systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain HSE excellence within the team and company.
• Develop and deliver an O&M function for BESS assets.
• Provide O&M services and ensure efficient delivery of works.
• Manage operational and technical escalations per regulatory and contract obligations.
• Troubleshoot issues with O&M team and partners.
• Identify improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency.
• Provide phone support and remote diagnostics to customers.
• Perform annual PPM checks and capacity tests.
• Travel to customer sites and start-up/commissioning services.
