Job summary

Rednal Recruitment is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join a nationwide team servicing Battery Chargers and related Battery Packs at commercial/industrial locations across the UK. You will organise and complete service visits, install and commission equipment at customer sites, repair equipment, and provide technical support.

Qualifications

• Electrical/electronic fault-finding experience.
• Familiarity with BS7671 18th Edition wiring regs.
• Understanding SLA, NiCD and Plante batteries.
• Experience with battery chargers, UPS and backup power systems.
• Substation access knowledge (UKPN/National Grid) is advantageous.
• Full UK driving license and right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Organise and complete service visits according to manufacturers' recommendations.
• Position, install and commission equipment at customer sites.
• Repair equipment and provide on-site technical support.
• Advise Head Office of any sales opportunities identified during duties.
• Promote the company professionally and maintain quality standards.
• Survey new and existing sites for installation purposes.
• Provide feedback on quality issues to the office and support colleagues.
• Ensure PPE, safety and certifications are maintained.
