Job summary

Envision Energy is seeking a Field Services Engineer for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to support installation, commissioning, and O&M across the UK. You will conduct site visits, develop SOPs, write testing schedules, and coordinate with MEP, Development and Construction teams to ensure assets run reliably.

You will perform start-up, capacity tests, annual PPM checks, and provide remote diagnostics and phone support to customers, while maintaining high HSE standards and accurate logs.

Qualifications

• HSE knowledge and experience within electrical installation projects (RAMS / SHEQ /CDM).
• Experience in Electrical Contracting/Construction environment.
• Desirable knowledge of BS7671 18th edition and related regs.
• ECS card registered with the IEC.
• Full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Develop an Operation and Maintenance function to fulfil asset management and O&M objectives as the asset base grows.
• Deliver O&M services for BESS assets and ensure efficient delivery of works.
• Manage operational and technical escalations in line with regulatory, contractual & commercial obligations.
• Troubleshoot issues with the O&M service team and partners to identify and resolve problems.
• Perform annual PPM checks, capacity tests and reactive works.
• Provide phone support and remote diagnostics to customers.
