Job summary

The Travelers is seeking an experienced underwriter with a strong focus on sales and broker development in the United Kingdom. You will underwrite and assess risk for products and accounts from assigned brokers, while collaborating with regional and product underwriting leadership to maximize profitability.

Qualifications

University degree and/or CII Advanced Certification or Diploma.
General knowledge of industry operations and financial drivers.
Experience with broker relationships and underwriting workflows.

Responsibilities

Underwrite and assess risk for products and accounts from assigned brokers.
Make decisions within underwriting authority and provide recommendations to leadership.
Develop and manage broker relationships to grow new business and retain existing clients.
Collaborate with Head Office, Risk Control, Claims, and Actuarial teams.
Create and execute sales plans with regional sales leadership.
Deliver superior customer service and timely underwriting support.
