The Travelers in the United Kingdom is seeking a Development Underwriter to drive new business and strengthen broker partnerships in the London market. You will assess risk, negotiate terms, andBind risks while growing profitability across our property & casualty solutions.

We offer a hybrid work model with three days in the office and two at home, and a team-focused environment that emphasizes mentoring less experienced underwriters and collaborating with sales partners to deliver tailored

Formación

• Good knowledge of products, the regulatory environment, and the local insurance market.
• Analytical thinking with ability to underwrite, market products, identify financial challenges, and analyze information.

Responsabilidades

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business across products.
• Underwrite and negotiate moderate risks to maximise profitability.
• Proactively manage portfolio to meet KPIs and target new business and retention.
• Identify risk characteristics and take corrective action with Manager/Team.
• Write additional lines of business using product knowledge and risk appetite.
• Utilise technology platforms to quote and bind risk efficiently.
• Support underwriting reviews for policies or portfolios and manage actions.
• Cultivate broker relationships to market Travelers’ products and grow accounts; travel may be needed.
