Job summary

Methods Analytics (MA) is seeking a Senior Fabric Engineer to join our Public Sector team on a permanent basis. This role will be mainly remote with travel to client sites and our offices in London, Sheffield, and Bristol.

You will design and implement data platforms using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks and Power BI, build ETL/ELT pipelines, develop dimensional models, govern data with Purview/Atlas, and deliver actionable dashboards while ensuring compliance and cost

Qualifications

• Proficiency in SQL and Python to handle complex data problems.
• Strong understanding of Data Lakehouse architectures and their implementation.
• Hands-on experience with Spark-based platforms (Databricks, Synapse, Fabric) and PySpark/Spark SQL.
• Experience building robust ETL/ELT pipelines in Azure.
• Ability to design scalable data models using dimensional modelling.
• Knowledge of data governance tools (Purview, Atlas) and data quality practices.
• Experience delivering Power BI dashboards that inform decision-making.
• Familiarity with CI/CD in data/analytics projects.
• Strong business-translation skills to turn requirements into specs.
• Excellent communication for non-technical audiences.
