Job summary

Golf in the United Kingdom is seeking a Wedding & Events Manager to oversee all aspects of wedding and event operations. You will lead a team, coordinate with the Events team and Wedding Coordinator, and deliver tastings and setup to ensure exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities include managing on-day operations, stock and inventory, and upselling menu items while maintaining high service standards and collaboration with other departments.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a team in a high-demand venue.
• Solid knowledge of food and beverage service operations.
• Proven track record running weddings, functions or private venue events.
• Strong time management, organisation and prioritisation abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with guests and staff.
• Clear presentation and client-facing capabilities.
• Self-starter who can motivate colleagues and lead by example.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the wedding/event on the day and coordinate to achieve qualitative/quantitative goals and ensure client satisfaction.
• Work closely with the Wedding Coordinator/Events team to ensure events are delivered to standards.
• Deliver menu tastings prior to the event to ensure customer satisfaction throughout pre-wedding service.
• Attend final meetings with the Wedding Coordinator to ensure all areas meet operational standards.
• Prepare all aspects of the wedding/event setup for smooth turnarounds.
• Run double function nights; manage staff and all F&B outlets (bar, restaurant, kitchen, etc.).
• Process orders through ESP/check order system and serve as appropriate.
• Upsell other items on the menu.
• Assist F&B management with stock ordering.
• Maintain inventory controls and address shortages.
• Support F&B coworkers, including training and development.
• Ensure staff meet standards for performance, appearance and service.
• Maintain and develop food/beverage programmes to meet guest expectations and repeat business.
• Ensure company standards for service and quality are met.
• Collaborate with other departments for efficient operations.
• Stay informed on local competition and industry trends.
• Implement and support company initiatives as requested.
