Job summary

Delta Hotels by Marriott Tudor Park Country Club in Thurnham, Kent, seeks an experienced Senior Event Manager to lead the sales and events function and drive revenue across accommodation, meetings, weddings, golf, F&B, spa and leisure. You will own the commercial strategy and manage the sales & events team from enquiry to event completion.

The role requires a proven track record in hospitality sales leadership, strong commercial acumen and the ability to forecast, manage clients and coordinate

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in hotel/resort sales or events.
• Strong knowledge of hotel revenue streams: rooms, meetings, events, weddings, golf, F&B.
• Excellent commercial awareness; convert data to actions.
• Experience coaching high-performing teams.
• Proficient communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience with PMS/CRM including Opera is preferred.
• Organised with attention to detail; multi-priority hunter.

Responsibilities

• Lead the property's commercial and sales plan, translating budgets into activity.
• Coach and develop the sales & events team with targets and standards.
• Drive proactive sales activity and new business generation.
• Oversee enquiries for bedrooms, conferences, weddings, golf events and social functions.
• Ensure timely, professional responses within service standards.
• Conduct pipeline reviews, forecasting analysis and reporting.
• Coordinate weekly commercial and monthly department meetings with reports.
• Support marketing of conferences, weddings and events and develop annual events calendar.
• Build relationships with local businesses, wedding suppliers and corporate clients.
• Ensure pricing, packages and promotions are implemented across systems.
• Monitor profitability, space utilisation and guest satisfaction.
• Oversee event contracting, deposits and handovers.
• Review post-event performance and rebooking opportunities.
• Maintain data in CRM, PMS and systems to support forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with policies, data protection and health and safety.
