Job summary

Delta Hotels by Marriott Tudor Park Country Club in Maidstone is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead the sales and events function and drive revenue across accommodation, meetings and events, weddings, golf, F&B, spa and leisure.

You will own the commercial strategy, manage the team, optimise enquiries and convert opportunities into profitable business, while maintaining exceptional guest experiences from enquiry to event completion.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience within hospitality or similar sales environment.
• Strong knowledge of hotel revenue streams including rooms, meetings and events, weddings, golf, leisure and F&B.
• Excellent commercial awareness with ability to interpret sales data and forecasts.
• Strong people management skills with track record of coaching and developing teams.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience using hotel PMS/CRM and event management systems including Opera sales and catering.
• Highly organized and proactive with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining customer service and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the property's commercial and sales plan and translate budgets into weekly/monthly activity.
• Coach and develop the commercial team with clear targets.
• Drive proactive sales activity and new business generation.
• Oversee enquiries for bedrooms, meetings, weddings, conferences and events.
• Ensure timely professional responses within service standards.
• Conduct pipeline reviews and forecasting to maximize revenue opportunities.
• Coordinate weekly/ monthly commercial and departmental meetings.
• Support promotions for conferences, meetings and events and develop an annual events calendar.
• Build relationships with local businesses, wedding suppliers, event organisers, golf societies and corporate clients.
• Ensure pricing, packages and promotions are correctly implemented across systems.
• Monitor event profitability, space utilization and guest satisfaction.
• Oversee event contracting, deposits and handovers.
• Review post-event performance and rebooking opportunities.
• Maintain data in CRM, PMS and systems to support forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with policies, brand standards and health & safety.
