Job summary

IGD in Watford is seeking a Senior Events Executive to help bring IGD-led events to life. You will support the Head of Events Strategy & Propositions, coordinating delivery of event programmes and audience propositions through detailed plans and processes.

You will collaborate with the Event Marketing Manager to manage communications, timelines and on-site execution, ensuring attendee experiences meet high standards and brand guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Events Strategy & Propositions with research, planning, coordination and documentation for IGD-led events
• Translate event concepts into project plans, timelines and deliverables
• Maintain programme information, speaker details and approved session descriptions
• Maintain event planning documents, action logs and internal updates so key decisions, dependencies and next steps are captured
• Coordinate practical event requirements including guest lists, table plans, seating cards, badges, signage, assets and on-site materials
• Liaise with internal teams, venues, suppliers and partners to support planning and delivery
• Track project timelines, actions and risks, flag issues early and help resolve them
• Provide on-site event support including registration, welcome experience, speaker support, setup and derig
• Work with the Event Marketing Manager to support invitations, confirmations, joining instructions, reminders and post-event follow-up
• Coordinate delivery of event-related messaging and social media in alignment with objectives and brand guidelines
• Maintain invitee, attendee and engagement data across CRM and event systems with high data quality
• Respond to attendee enquiries professionally with high-quality customer experience
• Support speaker coordination including briefing materials, biographies, headshots, logistics and follow-up actions
• Build positive relationships with attendees, speakers, partners and colleagues through clear communication
• Coordinate internal meetings, agendas, summaries and follow-up activities linked to event planning and delivery
• Monitor registrations and attendee information, producing regular internal reports and post-event evaluation actions
• Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, attendee experience and event delivery
