Job summary

Ignite Talent Group is assisting a respected UK construction contractor to recruit a Senior Estimator for the North East pre-construction team. You will lead end-to-end estimating across a varied portfolio, collaborating with design, commercial and operational colleagues.

The role requires strong civils/building package experience, proficiency with estimating software (COINS or Causeway Evolution advantageous), and a track record of accurate tender submissions and value engineering.

Qualifications

• Strong experience estimating construction projects from tender through submission.
• Experience pricing complete construction packages.
• Good understanding of civils/groundworks and building elements.
• Experience on medium to large-scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of subcontractor procurement, tender analysis and commercial risk.
• Excellent numerical, analytical and communication skills.
• Experience with estimating software; COINS and/or Causeway Evolution advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates from enquiry to tender submission.
• Manage the full estimating process across packages.
• Price enabling works, groundworks, civils and building works.
• Review drawings, specs and tender docs.
• Prepare subcontractor and supplier enquiries and analyse quotes.
• Identify commercial risks and value engineering options.
• Support tender reviews and final submissions.
• Collaborate with design, commercial and operations teams.
