Job summary

Edge Careers Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator for a leading contractor’s Construction team in the East Midlands. You’ll lead the pre-construction estimating function, mentor junior staff and help drive profitable tender pipelines through close collaboration with design, planning and commercial teams.

Applicants should have previous Main Contractor or Tier 1 experience, strong cost planning, benchmarking and Excel skills, and familiarity with Bluebeam or similar take-off

• Strong knowledge of estimating, benchmarking and cost planning.
• Proficiency in Excel and estimating system software.
• Experience using Bluebeam or equivalent take-off software.
• Leadership experience within a pre-construction or estimating team.
• Track record of developing and mentoring junior team members.
• Excellent attention to detail and a conscientious approach.
• Strong commercial awareness and communication skills.

Location: East Midlands

Hours: Full time, with some flexibility available

We’re recruiting for an experienced Senior Estimator to join the Construction team of a leading contractor.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator with Main Contractor or Tier 1 Contractor experience to take a senior role within a pre-construction team, leading and mentoring estimators while contributing to the delivery of profitable tenders and a strong project pipeline.

The Role

Reporting into the Head of Estimating, you’ll play a key role in the preparation and submission of tenders, working closely with design, planning and commercial teams.

You’ll be responsible for estimating project costs, identifying and managing risk, maximising opportunities and building strong relationships across the supply chain and customer base.

Key Responsibilities

About You
