Job summary

Central Employment is seeking a Senior Estimator to join a growing pre-construction team in the North East. The role leads the estimating process from enquiry to tender submission, balancing drawings, specs, and supplier quotes to secure profitable projects.

You will collaborate with commercial, design and operational teams, presenting cost analyses to senior management and mentoring junior estimators as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating process on projects from initial enquiry through to tender submission.
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost plans, estimates and tender submissions.
• Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation to identify project requirements and risks.
• Obtain and analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing.
• Work closely with commercial, design and operational teams during pre-construction.
• Present tender submissions, cost analyses and recommendations to senior management.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Support and mentor junior estimators where required.
