Job summary

Linear Recruitment are partnering with a well-established regional contractor to recruit an experienced Estimator for their pre-construction team in Leeds. You will produce accurate net tenders from drawings and specifications, supporting tender submissions across diverse sectors.

Qualifications

• Producing accurate net tenders from drawings & specifications.
• Working with the team to submit tender returns.
• Ability to obtain rates for relevant trades using first principles.

Responsibilities

• Producing accurate net tenders from drawings and specifications and work with the team to submit tender returns.
• Obtaining rates for each relevant trade; knowledge of first principles in pulling rates together will be required.
• Measuring quantities from drawings – including substructures, drainage and subcontract packages.
• Liaising with Senior Management and obtain their input into tenders, offers and proposals.
• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors at tender stage to obtain the most competitive prices; ensuring firm quotes are received for significant materials and subcontract items.
• Running more than one tender at any one time
• Attending pre and post contract reviews and client meetings
• Handing over successful tenders to the construction team
