Kenton Black Limited is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead the estimating function across residential and infrastructure groundworks. You will review drawings, prepare detailed estimates, and manage supplier quotes, pricing strategies, and tender submissions.

A proactive, collaborative approach with commercial, operational and engineering teams is essential for successful handovers and value engineering initiatives.

Formación

• Proven experience as a Senior Estimator within groundworks, civil engineering or infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of residential groundworks and infrastructure projects.
• Experience pricing earthworks, drainage, foundations, highways and external works.
• Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• The ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
• Experience using estimating software and Microsoft Office.
• A proactive and collaborative approach to working with internal teams and clients.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the estimating function on residential and infrastructure groundworks projects.
• Lead preparation of detailed estimates and tender submissions.
• Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Carry out accurate quantity take-offs and cost analysis.
• Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Develop pricing strategies for competitive tender submissions.
• Identify project risks and opportunities during the tender process.
• Attend tender review meetings and client interviews where required.
• Liaise with commercial, operational and engineering teams to ensure successful project handovers.
• Support value engineering initiatives and alternative construction methodologies.
• Mentor and support junior estimators within the team.
