Job summary

Kenton Black Limited on behalf of a leading groundworks contractor in Bedford are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee 3–4 residential groundworks projects. You will lead site teams, liaise with clients and coordinate resources to meet high standards.

Key requirements include SMSTS, proven contracts management experience in residential groundworks/civil, and a full UK driving licence with willingness to travel across the East Midlands. Salary ranges up to £110,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within residential groundworks or civil engineering.
• SMSTS certification is essential.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites in the East Midlands.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site operations on 3–4 live projects.
• Manage and report on project performance against programme and budget.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Produce monthly progress reports for the Operations Director.
• Coordinate labour, materials and plant; ensure safety and quality compliance.
