Senior Estimator (Civils)

We're looking for a Senior Estimator to join our Natural Resources Team, focusing on Civils. You will cover estimating duties on our new Wessex Water framework.

Location: With remote working options, you'll travel to client sites and offices across the Wessex Water contract, which covers Bristol to Bournemouth. Your main office will be in Exeter, which you will visit regularly.

Contract: Permanent, Full Time – flexible and part-time hours may be available upon request.

What are my responsibilities?

As a Civils Senior Estimator, you'll work closely with our framework delivery team and the client to deliver value-for-money solutions for the Civils elements in line with framework requirements.

Your daily tasks include:

1. Contributing to all aspects of the pre-construction phase, including early contractor involvement and pre-tender work.
2. Preparing multi-discipline tender pricing, capable of producing various levels of pricing, from top-down budgets to bottom-up lump sums or targets.
3. Reading and understanding client specifications and drawings, considering site safety, health, quality, and environmental issues.
4. Attending review and progress meetings internally and externally, including site visits.
5. Identifying project requirements and solutions, including programs and value engineering, with risk and opportunity assessments.

What are we looking for?

This Senior Estimator role is ideal if you have:

• A proven track record of delivering tenders/pricing of various sizes and complexities in the water industry, managing multiple projects within a framework.
• Experience in the pre-construction phase, with the ability to identify risks and opportunities swiftly.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills, with a good understanding of client requirements and commercial awareness.
• Experience working on construction projects, preferably in the water industry, with knowledge of mechanical and electrical assets used within the Water Industry.
