We are working in partnership with a leading regional civil engineering contractor seeking a Senior Estimator to join their team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity to play a pivotal role in the company’s tendering and pre-construction efforts, supporting their continued growth across key civil engineering sectors. The successful candidate will lead the preparation of high-quality tender submissions, bring innovative thinking to the estimating process, and help mentor junior team members while promoting a client-focused culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the estimation process for assigned projects.
• Ensure tender submissions are accurate, timely, and in line with company objectives.
• Promote continuous improvement and innovation within the estimating team.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior estimators.
• Represent the company in meetings with clients and internal stakeholders.

Requirements:

• HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) OR 5+ years of relevant site-based experience.
• Strong background in civil engineering and estimating.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Causeway Estimating Software.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Strategic thinking and analytical approach to problem solving.
• Experience delivering engaging presentations and tenders.
