Job summary

WSP is seeking talented individuals to join our Environmental Permitting, Compliance & Nuclear Regulation team at Senior Consultant and Principal Consultant grades. You will support permitting and compliance projects for clients across energy, waste, industrial, manufacturing and utilities sectors, developing Environmental Permit applications and assessments.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Environmental Permitting Regulations and environmental legislation.
• Experience preparing Environmental Permit applications and supporting technical assessments.
• Knowledge of sectors such as energy, waste, industrial, manufacturing or utilities.
• Experience undertaking qualitative and/or quantitative environmental risk assessments.
• Ability to manage your own workload and deliver high-quality outputs to agreed timescales.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain technical information clearly.
• Collaborative approach within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Environmental Permit applications and support technical assessments across multiple projects.
• Develop and review Environmental Risk Assessments, BAT assessments and management plans.
• Work within multidisciplinary teams and maintain strong client relationships through delivery excellence.
• Contribute to projects supporting the UK's transition to a secure, sustainable, low-carbon future.
