Job summary

WSP is seeking an Associate Environmental Permitting Consultant to lead major permitting and compliance programmes across energy, nuclear, industrial, manufacturing, waste and utilities sectors. You will provide strategic environmental and regulatory advice, oversee complex technical work and help grow our national offering.

You will mentor junior staff, contribute to business planning and collaborate across WSP's Sustainability and Environmental teams, with flexible location across UK offices

Qualifications

• Significant experience in environmental permitting, compliance and regulatory strategy.
• Expert knowledge of Environmental Permitting Regulations and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong track record delivering complex, high-value projects across regulated sectors.
• Experience developing and maintaining strategic client relationships.
• Commercial awareness with experience supporting business development and winning work.
• Strong leadership skills and experience managing and developing teams.
• Professional accreditation and recognised expertise within the environmental permitting field.

Responsibilities

• Lead major permitting and compliance programmes for clients across energy, nuclear, industrial, manufacturing, waste and utilities sectors.
• Provide strategic environmental and regulatory advice to clients and oversee complex technical work.
