Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Principal Environmental Consultant to lead EIA projects from early strategy to detailed design, coordinating environmental inputs across multiple regimes. The role requires strong knowledge of EIA methods, planning regimes, and client engagement, with travel to diverse UK sites.

You will work with a national team, supporting large-scale infrastructure and housing schemes, leveraging AECOM’s environmental impact expertise and blended hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Degree in environmental discipline or related field.
• Experience with Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and planning legislation.
• Strong project management and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage environmental inputs to EIA screening and scoping reports and Environmental Statements.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary environmental inputs across project life cycles.
• Lead client relationships and internal teams to deliver high-quality outputs.
• Identify environmental constraints and mitigation opportunities across projects.
