Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Environmental Consultant to drive environmental inputs for EIA screening and scoping across UK projects. You will coordinate technical reviews and support across the project life cycle, ensuring high-quality environmental deliverables.

You’ll work within a national EIA team, with flexible hybrid working across offices and a focus on delivering sustainable outcomes aligned with ESG goals.

Qualifications

• Degree in an environmental discipline (preferably Masters) and professional membership.
• Experience in coordinating environmental reports and reviewing specialist chapters.
• Developing understanding of relevant consenting regimes.
• Ability to work collaboratively within established teams and coordinate inputs.
• Developing project management skills including scheduling and budgeting.
• Commitment to innovation and continuing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate environmental inputs to EIA screening and scoping reports and Environmental Statements.
• Review and integrate specialist chapters and technical content.
• Manage project life cycle from strategy to operation and ensure quality deliverables.
• Collaborate with design teams to improve environmental outcomes.
• Maintain direct client contact and support business development.
