Job summary

AECOM seeks a Senior Environmental Consultant to coordinate environmental inputs to EIA screening and scoping reports across multiple UK projects. You will work with our established EIA team and align with our ESG strategy.

You will be part of a national team, with hybrid working across offices including Leeds and Birmingham, and opportunities to influence large-scale development portfolios while delivering high-quality environmental outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree in an environmental discipline; Masters preferred.
• Experience coordinating environmental reports and the technical review of specialist chapters.
• Developing understanding of relevant consenting regimes.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of an established team and manage projects.
• Experience with DCO and/or TWAO regimes is beneficial.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inputs to EIA screening and scoping reports.
• Review environmental statements and technical chapters.
• Support across the project life cycle from strategy to operation.
• Collaborate with design teams to improve environmental outcomes.
• Engage directly with clients and internal teams.
• Support business development and fee/technical proposal development.
