Job summary

Assystem is seeking a Senior Environmental Consents Consultant to strengthen environmental planning, consents management and project delivery. This onsite UK role focuses on Development Consent Orders (DCOs), environmental commitments and regulatory obligations across major infrastructure programmes.

You will coordinate consent requirements, monitor compliance and engage with delivery teams, contractors and stakeholders to ensure works align with approved requirements and governance frameworks.

Qualifications

• Two years+ post-graduate experience in consents, planning or environmental management.
• Experience with infrastructure or construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate consent requirements across complex projects.
• Maintain Consents & Commitments Registers and track obligations.
• Prepare consent applications, approvals, reports and technical docs.
• Support post-consent activities including discharge of requirements and certifications.
• Provide on-site support to ensure compliance with environmental consents and regulatory requirements.
• Engage with internal teams, regulators and stakeholders.
• Produce high-quality environmental documentation and ensure IMS governance compliance.
