Job summary

Ramboll is seeking an Environment and Consents Manager to discharge DCO requirements and manage secondary consents for major UK infrastructure projects. The role is predominantly site-based, working with contractors, planners, regulators and environmental specialists to ensure compliance and project progress.

You will develop trackers, engage stakeholders, and translate commitments into practical controls while supporting bids and delivery plans.

Qualifications

• Experience with DCO requirements discharge and consents.
• Knowledge of UK environmental legislation and regulatory processes.
• Experience preparing and managing consent applications and evidence packs.
• Ability to work on site with contractors and translate commitments into controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead management of DCO requirements, secondary consents and environmental compliance for infrastructure projects.
• Develop and maintain discharge trackers, consent registers, and evidence bundles for stakeholders.
• Engage regulators, local authorities, and technical specialists to resolve consenting issues and maintain programme confidence.
• Review environmental permissions (DCOs, permits, licences) and translate commitments into practical controls and checks.
• Provide on-site support to delivery teams, coordinating inputs and ensuring robust close-out evidence.
