Job summary

Uniper is expanding its environmental team to manage permitting, compliance, and carbon regulation across UK energy projects. You will coordinate permit applications, supervise consultants, and ensure robust regulatory outputs.

The role requires deep knowledge of the UK ETS, strong project management, and the ability to engage regulators and stakeholders to support project delivery and carbon reporting across assets.

Qualifications

• Experience handling UK Emissions Trading Scheme (UK ETS) and permitting processes.
• Ability to develop strategic permitting and consent plans while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Strong written and verbal communication for regulatory submissions and briefs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the coordination and delivery of environmental permits and consents for UK energy projects.
• Manage external consultants conducting environmental assessments for permit applications.
• Provide expert advice on environmental permitting and UK ETS requirements.
• Lead the annual UK ETS monitoring, reporting and verification cycle for the generation fleet.
• Maintain carbon reporting processes, governance, and audit readiness across assets.
• Foster effective relationships with regulators and external partners.
• Support horizon scanning and contribute to internal guidance on emerging regulations.
