AVI-SPL is seeking an experienced Messaging Engineer to administer and support enterprise messaging environments in the Canary Wharf/ London area. You will manage Exchange Online, on-prem Exchange, Mimecast, and Valimail, while guiding upgrades, migrations, and email security deployments.

The role covers BYOD and device management via Intune, MAM, and Apple Business Manager, with emphasis on reliability and security.

Qualifications

• Approximately 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting and administering enterprise messaging environments.
• Strong experience with Exchange Online administration and support.
• Strong experience with Exchange 2016, Exchange 2019 and ideally Exchange Server Subscription Edition (SE).
• Demonstrable experience planning and delivering Exchange upgrade and migration projects.
• Strong experience administering Mimecast within enterprise environments.
• Strong experience administering Valimail and email authentication technologies, including SPF, DKIM and DMARC.
• Experience managing BYOD and corporate devices using Microsoft Intune.
• Experience with Mobile Application Management (MAM), App Protection Policies, Apple Business Manager and Android Enterprise.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, PowerShell scripting, Active Directory and Entra ID.
• Understanding of email security, compliance, retention, archiving, and best practices.
• Ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to take ownership of technical tasks and deliver outcomes with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated initiative and a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong business writing and technical documentation skills.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including IP networking, mail flow, routing, and traffic analysis.

Responsabilités

• Configuration, administration, and support of Microsoft Exchange Online.
• Configuration, administration, and support of on-premises Microsoft Exchange 2016, Exchange 2019 and Exchange Server SE.
• Planning and execution of Exchange upgrades and migrations.
• Administration, support, and optimisation of Mimecast email security services.
• Administration, support, and management of Valimail email authentication services.
• Support and management of BYOD and corporate device email access through Microsoft Intune, including App Protection Policies, Apple Business Manager.
• Monitoring the health, performance, availability, and security of messaging platforms.
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex messaging, email delivery, authentication, and mobility-related issues.
• Collaborating with internal and client project teams to design and deploy messaging and mobility solutions.
• Identifying, developing, and championing automation opportunities to improve operational efficiency and service reliability.
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge articles.
• Providing technical leadership, mentoring, and knowledge sharing across the wider team.
• Taking ownership of incidents, problems, and service improvement initiatives from inception through to resolution.
• Performing additional tasks, responsibilities, and projects as needed to support the team and organisation, ensuring flexibility in adapting to evolving priorities and objectives.
