Job summary

Proactive Global in Cambridge seeks an experienced Programme Manager to own complex customer programmes from sales handover to closure. You will ensure on‑time delivery, budget adherence, and quality in a multi‑disciplinary engineering environment.

You will lead IPTs, manage scope, risks and changes, and coordinate with customers, OEMs and internal teams to meet contractual commitments and milestones.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' relevant programme management within the engineering industry.
• Proven experience managing complex programmes from initiation through to completion.
• Experience managing programme budgets and financial performance.
• Strong customer and stakeholder management experience.
• Proven experience leading cross‑functional project teams.
• Experience managing project schedules, risks, changes, resources and deliverables.
• Strong negotiation, communication and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of programmes throughout the full product lifecycle from sales handover to closure.
• Maintain overall responsibility for delivery including schedule, cost, quality and weight performance.
• Develop, maintain and manage integrated programme plans, schedules, milestones and deliverables.
• Define programme scope, objectives, priorities and deliverables with project teams and stakeholders.
• Manage dependencies, critical paths, resources and delivery risks.
• Coordinate internal gate reviews and ensure documentation, decisions and actions are completed.
• Lead complex engineering development, certification testing, third‑party interfaces and customer design requirements.
• Act as primary point of contact for customers, OEMs and integrators; lead reviews and meetings.
• Manage customer queries and negotiate dates, scope changes and priorities.
• Monitor programme performance and implement corrective actions; provide regular status updates.
