Rolls-Royce SMR is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager - Site Specific Design to lead a multidisciplinary team of 20+ engineers and specialists. The role reports to the Chief Integration Engineer and focuses on delivering site-specific power station designs to support global deployment of Rolls-Royce SMR technology.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer qualification (or equivalent) with a relevant engineering degree or demonstrable equivalent industry experience.
• Proven experience leading large, complex multidisciplinary engineering programmes within nuclear, power generation, infrastructure or similarly regulated sectors.
• Experience managing significant engineering budgets, developing high-performing teams and delivering through matrix organisations.
• Demonstrable expertise in power station, major infrastructure or complex industrial facility design integration with civil engineering interfaces.
• Experience in regulated environments with regulators, safety case development, environmental approvals or infrastructure planning.
• Track record of governance, risk management and delivery leadership in engineering.

Responsabilités

• Providing strategic engineering leadership for development and delivery of site-specific RR SMR power station designs.
• Building and leading multidisciplinary teams including internal engineers, secondees, suppliers and partners to deliver complex programmes.
• Directing engineering activities across systems, structures and components through the project lifecycle with regulatory and customer alignment.
• Managing engineering delivery against milestones, budgets and performance objectives with clear risk and resource oversight.
• Owning integration of site-specific requirements with the Rolls-Royce SMR design, ensuring configuration control.
• Leading assessment and implementation of site-specific adaptations across sites, regions and customer applications.
• Collaborating with project management, supply chain, operations, construction and business development for practical, deliverable solutions.
• Representing engineering with customers, regulators and stakeholders supporting licensing, approvals and programme activities.
• Supporting the Chief Integration Engineer in monitoring safety, constructability, schedule, cost and performance targets.
