Job summary

Rolls-Royce SMR is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager - Site Specific Design to lead a multidisciplinary team delivering site-specific power station designs for world-wide deployment. The role reports to the Chief Integration Engineer in a high-impact leadership capacity within a UK clean energy programme.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer qualification or equivalent plus engineering degree.
• Proven experience leading large, complex multidisciplinary programmes in regulated sectors.
• Experience managing significant engineering budgets and delivering through matrix organisations.
• Expertise in power station, infrastructure or complex industrial facility design integration including civil interfaces.
• Experience with regulators, safety case development and environmental approvals.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic engineering leadership for site-specific RR SMR power station designs.
• Build and lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers, secondees, suppliers and delivery partners.
• Direct engineering activities across systems, structures and components throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage engineering delivery against milestones, budgets and performance targets while overseeing risks and resources.
• Own the integration of site-specific requirements with the Rolls-Royce SMR design and manage configuration control.
• Lead assessment and implementation of site-specific adaptation across different sites and customer applications.
• Collaborate with project management, supply chain, operations, construction and business development for practical, deliverable, commercially viable solutions.
• Represent engineering to customers, regulators, partners and stakeholders for site development, licensing and environmental approvals.
• Support Chief Integration Engineer in monitoring safety, constructability, schedule, cost and performance targets.
