Job summary

SP Energy Networks in the UK is recruiting a Senior Engineer (Development) to lead major construction, reinforcement and customer connection projects from concept through delivery. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage risks, budgets and stakeholder relationships to ensure safe, compliant and on-time results.

The role requires a degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering, substantial project development experience, familiarity with route development and consenting, plus

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Significant experience developing and delivering major infrastructure projects.
• Experience in route development, site selection and consenting processes.
• Strong project and risk management expertise.
• Knowledge of procurement, contract management and construction delivery.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements and environmental considerations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of major construction, reinforcement and customer connection projects.
• Manage activities from concept, route selection and consenting through to construction delivery.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, internal specialists, contractors and consultants.
• Drive safe, compliant and efficient project delivery in line with regulatory and company requirements.
• Evaluate technical, commercial and environmental solutions to optimise outcomes.
• Manage project risks, programmes, budgets and stakeholder relationships.
• Promote innovation and operational excellence across projects.
