Job summary

SP Energy Networks is seeking a Project Manager to deliver major capital investment, construction and customer connections projects across the SP Manweb licence area from development through handover. Based in Prenton, the role focuses on delivering outputs safely, on time, within budget and to required standards.

You will lead cross-functional teams and manage risks, contracts and governance, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and industry rules.

Qualifications

• HND in a relevant engineering, construction or project management discipline, or equivalent.
• Experience managing complex construction or infrastructure projects, preferably in regulated environments.
• Experience leading projects through construction, commissioning, handover and close-out.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and project control disciplines.
• Experience in programme management, cost forecasting, change control, risk and performance reporting.
• Experience in contract and commercial management including NEC, FIDIC and related contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary project teams across design, engineering, operations, commercial and finance.
• Provide clear direction, establish accountabilities and manage project risks and interfaces.
• Lead the commercial and contract management of appointed contractors and service partners.
• Maintain project governance, programme control, cost forecasting, risk management and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve capital efficiency while safeguarding safety and quality.
• Represent SP Energy Networks at governance forums and stakeholder meetings.
