Job summary

SP Energy Networks is seeking a Project Manager to deliver major capital investment, construction and customer connections across the SP Manweb licence area. You will lead multidisciplinary teams to ensure outputs are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

The role covers development, mobilisation, construction, commissioning, handover and close-out, with governance, risk management and regulatory standards at the forefront. Salary up to £68,750 per year with generous benefits.

Qualifications

• HND in a relevant engineering, construction or project management discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Experience managing complex construction or infrastructure projects, preferably within electricity transmission or regulated infrastructure.
• Experience leading projects through construction, commissioning, handover and close-out.
• Knowledge of recognised project management methodologies and project control disciplines.
• Experience in programme management, cost forecasting, change control, risk and opportunity management, and performance reporting.
• Experience of contract and commercial management, including NEC, FIDIC, design and construct, framework or comparable forms of contract.
• Knowledge of multidisciplinary project teams and ability to coordinate resources.
• Stakeholder management, negotiation, communication, influencing and conflict-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead multidisciplinary project teams across design, engineering, operations, commercial and finance.
• Lead commercial and contract management of appointed contractors and service partners.
• Maintain project governance: programme control, cost forecasting, risk management, change control and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve capital efficiency while safeguarding safety and quality.
• Represent SP Energy Networks in governance forums and industry groups.
• Deliver projects within scope, schedule, budget and regulatory requirements.
