Job summary

SP Energy Networks in Prenton, United Kingdom, is hiring a Project Manager to lead major capital investment, construction and customer connections projects within the SP Manweb licence area. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, compliant outputs on time and within budgets.

The role focuses on governance, contract management (NEC/FIDIC), and continuous improvement across the delivery lifecycle, with progression opportunities and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• HND in a relevant engineering, construction or project management discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Experience managing complex construction or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies, cost forecasting, risk and change control.
• Experience with NEC, FIDIC or design-and-construct contracts.
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary project teams across design, engineering, operations, commercial, finance, quality and environmental resources.
• Manage commercial and contract management of appointed contractors and service partners (NEC3/NEC4, FIDIC, design and construct contracts or frameworks).
• Maintain project governance including programme control, cost forecasting, risk management and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve capital efficiency while protecting safety and quality.
• Ensure projects deliver outputs on time, within budget and to regulatory standards.
• Provide leadership and representation in internal governance forums and stakeholder meetings.
