Job summary

Blue Inn Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer for a long-term Bristol project. The role focuses on RC frame and groundworks, with responsibility for on-site engineering activities and setting-out and surveying tasks.

The ideal candidate will lead on-site teams, interpret drawings, and ensure quality and programme alignment. The position requires strong leadership, proven senior engineering experience, and a valid CSCS Card.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Engineer on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong expertise in RC frame and groundworks.
• Excellent setting-out and surveying skills.
• Valid CSCS Card is essential.

We are currently recruiting an experienced Senior Engineer for a long-term project in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned engineer with strong experience in RC frame and groundworks to join a major project for over 12 months.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee day-to-day engineering activities on site.
• Supervise setting-out works.
• Oversee engineering works across RC frame and groundworks packages.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Carry out quality checks, surveys and as-built records.
• Coordinate with site management, subcontractors and project teams.
• Ensure works are completed in line with drawings, specifications and programme requirements.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Engineer / Senior Site Engineer.
• Strong experience in RC Frame and Groundworks - essential.
• Excellent setting-out and surveying skills.
• Experience using Leica TS16 / Total Station is highly desirable.
• Previous experience working on large-scale construction projects.
• Valid CSCS Card - essential.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
