Job description
Overview

We're looking for multiple Senior Engineers to drive the design and development of our robotic manufacturing systems. As a Senior Engineer, you will own the delivery of critical modules within the system. You will lead the end-to-end process of your modules, from concept to detailed engineering, always ensuring alignment with performance and manufacturability requirements. Collaboration with cross‑functional bioprocess, robotics and system engineering teams will be crucial for seamless integration into the wider system. You will also work closely and productively with the technical teams within our customer organisations. Within this role you will manage the technical aspects of your project, balancing trade‑offs between specifications, risk, and timelines to achieve successful outcomes. You will be responsible for leading team activities such as root cause analysis, design investigations, performance analysis and FMEA, as well as working with the Head of Hardware Engineering to develop best practices across all the hardware development teams. Join our mission in steering the system towards excellence.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven, extensive experience in the design and development of complex electromechanical devices and/or manufacturing equipment.
  • Track‑record in technical delivery, leading multi‑disciplined engineering teams, from early product development to transfer‑to‑manufacture.
  • While your experience might ideally lie within the Life Science fields, experience gained (for example) within consumer products and aerospace are also very interesting to us.
  • Full‑time on‑site position at our campus in Melbourne. Cell therapies have been shown to cure devastating and previously untreatable diseases such as cancer by re‑programming the patient's own immune system. Giving more patients access to these life‑saving therapies requires a revolution in manufacturing and process automation. Cellular Origins, a TTP Company, is enabling scalable, cost‑effective and efficient manufacture of cell and gene therapies.
