Job summary

RTL Group Ltd in Dudley seeks a Senior Site Engineer to oversee the technical delivery of water treatment and civil works, ensuring safety, schedule, budget and quality. You will lead site engineers and subcontractors, review drawings, resolve design queries, and navigate CAD drawings to drive site success.

The role demands proven civil engineering experience, strong knowledge of structures, pipelines and QA, plus RAMS input and method development. Long-term contract envisaged.

Qualifications

• Proven experience on water, utilities or heavy civil projects.
• Strong knowledge of structures, reinforced concrete, pipelines and water infra.
• Ability to interpret CAD drawings and QA procedures.
• Experience providing RAMS input and construction methodologies.

The Role

As a Senior Engineer, you will take responsibility for the successful technical delivery of water treatment and associated civil engineering works, overseeing day-to-day engineering activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Senior Site Engineer Responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day engineering delivery of water treatment and associated civil engineering works.
• Leading and supporting Site Engineers and subcontractors.
• Reviewing drawings and specifications and resolving technical queries with the design team.
• Navigating and interpreting CAD drawings.
• Setting out and checking works, including levels, coordinates, and dimensions.
• Managing inspections, ITPs, QA documentation, and as-built records.
• Providing technical input into RAMS and construction methodologies.

Senior Site Engineer Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Engineer on water, utilities, or heavy civil engineering projects.
• Strong background in structures, reinforced concrete, pipelines, and water treatment infrastructure.
• Good knowledge of ASP, FSP, and Structures.
• Confident ability to navigate and interpret CAD drawings.
• Good understanding of QA procedures, programme management, and construction delivery processes.
• Relevant engineering qualification.
• Full UK driving licence.
