• Experience working for a Tier 1 contractor or established specialist contractor.
• Experience managing subcontractors and engineering packages.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects or workstreams.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant Civil Engineering qualification.

Responsibilities

• Managing and coordinating civil engineering activities across multiple projects.
• Providing technical and engineering support to Project Managers and site teams.
• Reviewing drawings, designs, specifications and technical submissions.
• Managing RFIs, design queries and engineering issues.
• Coordinating designers, subcontractors and supply-chain partners.
• Supporting construction planning, sequencing and buildability reviews.
• Managing civil interfaces with MEICA and other engineering disciplines.
• Ensuring works comply with specifications, quality requirements and relevant standards.
• Supporting RAMS, temporary works and technical documentation.
• Monitoring engineering progress against programme.
• Supporting commissioning, handover and project close-out.
• Identifying and resolving technical issues that could impact programme or delivery.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Civil Project Engineer to join a leading Tier 1 contractor delivering a major programme of water and wastewater projects.

This is a long-term contract opportunity supporting a substantial AMP8 programme, with a strong pipeline of projects providing excellent continuity for the right person.

The Role

• Managing and coordinating civil engineering activities across multiple projects
• Providing technical and engineering support to Project Managers and site teams

• Coordinating designers, subcontractors and supply-chain partners

• Experience working for a Tier 1 contractor or established specialist contractor
• Experience managing subcontractors and engineering packages
• The ability to coordinate multiple projects or workstreams
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
