Job summary

EQ Search in the United Kingdom advises developers, investors and operators in energy markets and is growing its transactions practice. They seek a Principal Consultant who can lead from the front, win and deliver commercial advisory work, and build lasting client relationships.

Reporting to a senior partner, you will balance project delivery with originating new work, carry a personal sales target, and collaborate with consulting, research and marketing to give clients a joined-up experience.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering and winning energy advisory projects.
• Experience with investors, developers, and financiers in energy deals.
• Ability to convert one-off work into repeat business.
• Strong understanding of energy markets and deal drivers.
• Proactive, delivery-focused with sales and advisory balance.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of energy transaction consulting projects for developers and investors.
• Originate and win advisory work in energy transactions and flexibility markets.
• Build and sustain client relationships across the landscape.
• Identify repeat work, referrals and new service ideas with marketing.
• Write proposals and outputs showing sector knowledge and judgement.
• Keep projects commercially disciplined and client-satisfied.
• Collaborate with consulting and go-to-market teams for consistent account management.
• Help improve consulting processes, pricing, and tender quality.
• Share knowledge and mentor team colleagues.
• Represent the firm at events and industry forums while tracking market trends.
