Job summary

WSP is seeking a Principal Consultant in Energy Advisory to lead policy, regulation and markets work across the UK and internationally. You will guide complex engagements, mentor teams, win major projects and shape market strategies for the energy transition.

You will develop strategic client relationships, contribute to revenue growth, and drive technical excellence while coordinating cross-country teams in a rapidly evolving energy landscape.

Qualifications

• Degree level or higher in Economics, Engineering, or related STEM discipline.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; report writing, presentations and stakeholder engagement.
• Significant experience in energy sector regulation/policy and market design.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex and strategically important energy sector projects.
• Act as Project Director or Senior Project Manager on major assignments.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams across geographies and coordinate technical specialists.
• Develop and secure major proposals, frameworks and strategic pursuits.
• Provide oversight and quality assurance for project outputs, ensuring alignment with standards.
