Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a Senior Energy Engineer to lead energy efficiency and decarbonisation initiatives on the Stevenage campus. This site-based role coordinates with the Energy Programme Manager, oversees contractors, and ensures safe, compliant project delivery within a live operation.

The role focuses on turning programme objectives into practical site delivery, managing permit-to-work activities, and supporting commissioning and handover of energy projects to achieve

Qualifications

• Experience leading on-site energy and decarbonisation projects.
• Strong collaboration with operations, stakeholders and contractors.
• Ability supervise contractors and ensure health, safety and environmental standards.
• Experience with commissioning and handover of energy projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the site energy and carbon reduction programme and provide technical support.
• Supervise contractors and ensure adherence to CBRE and client safety standards.
• Issue, manage and close permits for activities (hot works, work at height, confined space, etc).
• Provide technical oversight during installation, modification and commissioning of energy-related equipment.
• Maintain records and reporting of permits, isolations and project activities.
