Job summary

Milton Keynes City Council is seeking a Senior Endpoint Engineer to join the ICT service. You will help keep the endpoint estate secure, reliable and fit for purpose, supporting services that make a difference to local people.

This role may be suitable for home working, with one day per week in the office, and the salary starts at £38,510. You will lead endpoint projects, manage lifecycles, and document processes while working with ICT teams and partners.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of endpoint engineering and Windows client architecture.
• Experience with identity management, networking and security.
• Ability to plan and deliver medium-sized technical projects.

Responsibilities

• Providing expert third line support for endpoint users across Milton Keynes City Council.
• Taking ownership of complex technical issues escalated from first and second line.
• Collaborating with ICT teams, council services, suppliers and partners.
• Planning and delivering endpoint-related projects including upgrades and maintenance.
• Ensuring devices comply with OS, BIOS, updates and security requirements.
• Managing endpoint lifecycles: imaging, packaging, deployment and patching.
• Monitoring device health and performance and resolving issues proactively.
• Creating and maintaining endpoint documentation and contributing to policies.
