Job summary

BT Group in the UK is seeking an experienced People Relations Case Professional to lead high-volume Employee Relations cases within the OneHR framework. You will advise managers, apply employment law, and partner with Legal and HR to mitigate risk while placing wellbeing and inclusion at the core.

You will coach managers, share data-driven insights, and drive continuous improvement of ER processes, policies, and ways of working as BT Group transforms its People & Culture services.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of employment law and ACAS Code of Practice applied commercially.
• Ability to negotiate and influence outcomes in complex situations.
• Excellent organisation and time management to handle high-volume caseloads.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high-volume caseload of ER matters including grievance, disciplinary, performance and absence cases.
• Provide expert, timely advice to managers in line with employment law and policy.
• Support managers to deliver fair, commercially sound outcomes with wellbeing at the centre.
• Use data and insight to inform decisions, identify risks, and improve case outcomes.
• Coach and upskill managers to build capability in handling people matters.
• Ensure cases are managed efficiently with SLAs and accurate records.
• Manage conflict resolution, including facilitated conversations and mediation.
• Collaborate with HR, Legal and stakeholders to support priorities and mitigate risk.
• Act as escalation point for complex cases and mentor junior colleagues.
