Job description

At L&G we believe that strong leadership communication is key to building trust, engagement and alignment across our organisation. As part of our Corporate Affairs function this role supports communications from our Group Management Committee and Senior Leadership Team to employees. You’ll help deliver strategic messaging, coordinate impactful events and contribute to a culture of transparency and collaboration.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Supporting the Head of CEO and Leadership Communications and Senior Manager in delivering a global strategy that builds trust in L&G’s leadership by co‑ordinating communications activity, overseeing the calendar of content and events and leading on administrative tasks and gathering data and insights to improve the effectiveness of our communications plan.
  • Assisting the Head of CEO and Leadership Communications and Senior Manager in delivering plans that engage employees with L&G’s strategy and build trust in the Group CEO through employee communications, social media and events in line with company requirements.
  • Supporting with content creation and channel management for CEO & Leadership Communications strategies working with Employee Communications colleagues and stakeholders to align messaging with L&G’s narrative.
  • Supporting the planning and execution of virtual and in-person events including developing agendas, creating and maintaining attendee lists and developing content working in collaboration with the L&G events team whilst ensuring coordination with the Employee Communications team and maintaining relevant calendars and diaries.
  • Collaborating with Employee Communications and Corporate Affairs to drive continuous improvement in planning, measurement, editorial coordination and information sharing to strengthen cross‑team and function collaboration in line with business requirements.
  • Working closely with colleagues from across Employee Communications to contribute towards the continuous improvement of the function including supporting improvements to planning, measurement, evaluation, editorial planning and information sharing to strengthen cross‑divisional planning collaboration and strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Consumer Duty: creating audience‑focused assets and concepts ensuring clarity, fairness and full compliance with regulatory and data protection requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Understand the role of employee communications as part of Corporate Affairs and in wider business strategy.
  • Awareness of communications tactics including content development and channel management.
  • Understanding of the importance of employee communications to senior leadership teams.
  • Knowledge of evaluation and planning methodologies used in communications functions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, highly organized and able to prioritise workload.
  • Experienced in content development and event management.
  • Experience in employee communications and leadership communications ideally working as part of an in‑house communications team.
  • Previous experience working in or with complex regulated organisations ideally in financial services.
